Description

Everyone can play and everyone can win in this multi media experience A trivia game published by ZAPiT Games in 2005 as a pack-in game with the Game Wave Family Entertainment System. The game is heavily inspired by Trivial Pursuit. 4 Degrees supports 1-6 player multiplayer gameplay with the purchase of additional remotes. Players take turns selecting one of 6 question categories using the 1-6 numerical keys on their remote respectively: The Arts, History, Science, Sports, Lifestyle, and Geography. (Each category can only be selected twice per game.) The player who selects the category also rolls a die to play the next question for normal, double, triple, or half the standard stakes of 50 points. Each question is presented as “Name this ____.” (For example, “Name this fairy tale.”) Over the course of the answering period, players receive a series of four “degrees,” or clues, to help them answer. Each successive clue further clarifies the answer; however, the longer a player waits to answer a question, the less points they gain or lose for a right or wrong answer. Right answers earn a player points, and wrong answers lose a player points (doubled, tripled, or halved as appropriate.) After each question, a scoreboard is displayed. A minigame called “The Arc of Time” is played after 6 questions, and the game ends after 12. The Arc of Time Players are presented one initial event on a timeline. For each of 5 more events, players are asked to input the numerical button corresponding to where the event belongs in chronological order in comparison to the other events on the timeline. The events are worth 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 points respectively; however, a wrong answer loses a player all points earned up to that point. Alternatively, a player can hit the “Stop” button to stop playing and keep all points earned up to that point.
