BS 16 Eau de Nil Color Guide:
BS 16 Eau de Nil is a color from the early edition of the BS 381C standard in 1931.
BS 16 Eau de Nil, in addition to BS 1 Sky Blue, which was also not part of the official MAP range, was a substitute color for painting the under surfaces of RAF aircraft in 1940-1941 due to the shortage of the original MAP Sky paint. Both BS 1 and BS 16 were interchangeable and were widely used in RAF Temperate Land camouflage.
Compared to the original Sky S Type, the BS 16 Eau de Nil was much brighter and had a much more prominent yellow-green hue.
