MAP Blue was a dull blue ID color used to paint insignia on RAF and FAA aircraft during World War II. This blue color superseded MAP Matt Blue, a brighter and bluish shade that was used for the same purpose in the 1930s.
MAP Blue was used to paint the aircraft roundels of types A, A.1, A.2, B, B.1, C, and C.1.
