RLM 81a Brown Purple Color Guide:
RLM 81 was mentioned in GL/C-E 10 Nr.10585/43 (IVE) Az.82b 10 of 1 July 1944 and officially introduced in August 1944 according to Sammelmitteilung Nr. 1.
In 1944, the Luftwaffe bomber aircrafts RLM 70/71 green camouflage was scheduled to use RLM 81 Braunviolett instead of RLM 70 Schwarzgrun, as per Sammelmitteilung Nr. 1.
RLM 81 Brown Purple was used in late-WW2 camouflages of Luftwaffe fighter and bomber aircraft along with RLM 82 Hellgrun.
In addition to the brown-purple RLM 81a Braunviolett, it had a dark green RLM 81b Dunkelgrun variation.
