RLM 83 Dark Green Color Guide:
An authentic dark olive green color of late-WW2 German Luftwaffe camouflage scheme implemented accordingly Sammelmitteilung Nr. 2 on 15th Aug. 1944.
According to some sources, this color replaced RLM 74 Graugrun in 1944 and was used for RLM 75/ RLM 83 camouflage seen on Bf 109 and Fw 190.
This color could also be used as a replacement for RLM 82 or RLM 81 for green late-WW2 Luftwaffe camouflage seen on Bf 109, Fw 190, Me 163, Me 262, Do 335, Ar 234, etc.
According to Michael Ullmanns latest research, RLM 83 was not dark green but dark blue instead. RLM 83 Dunkelblau was intended to be used in combination with RLM 72 Grun for seaplanes and RLM 70 Schwarzgrun for land-based aircraft operating in the Mediterranean.
