From the Manufacturer

The PanaVise 300 standard base is a work-holding tool base designed for versatility. The PanaVise 300 standard base is compatible with all the heads in the PanaVise 300 series product line, as well as many accessories. This base utilizes a "split-ball" feature which allows for head movement through three separate planes (tilt, turn and rotate) controlled by a single-load control knob. It can be mounted with the 1/4" (6.3 mm) countersunk screw holes in its bolt circle or can be used stand-alone.

Low-profile base designed for vise applications close to bench surfaces.

Versatile Base to Build Your System On

The PanaVise 300 standard base is 3-3/4" (95.2 mm) tall, weighs 1.4 lb. (0.6 kg) and has a base diameter of 4-5/16" (109.5 mm). The base combines with one or more of PanaVises compatible heads (sold separately) to create a work-holding tool suitable for most any hobbies, electronic repair or assembly, or small home repairs. The bolt circle at the bottom of the base contains three pre-drilled holes that are countersunk for use with 1/4" (6.3 mm) flat head screws (sold separately) to secure the base to a work surface. Alternatively, the 1.4 lb. (0.6 kg) weight of the 300 standard base makes it suitable for lighter work-holding tool applications where mounting of the base is not required or desired.

Tilt, Turn and Rotation Functionality

The 300 standard base utilizes PanaVise single-knob "split-ball" functionality at the point of contact with installed vise heads. Once a vise head is installed and an item is secured, the split-ball system allows for maneuvering the item along three separate planes. The mobility range of the model 300s split-ball system is a 90-degree tilt to the side, along with either a rotation at a set angle or level turn range of 360 degrees. The mobility range allows a user to rearrange work items into virtually any position, limiting the need to adjust the overall position of the vise, or the item within the vise.

Multiple Vise Head Options

The PanaVise 300 standard base is suitable for a variety of applications and is compatible with a range of vise heads. The base works with all PanaVise 300 series vise heads, as well as the PV Jr. model 203 head, or any head tool accessory with a 5/8" diameter shaft.
