Description

This chisel is made by a small tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The blade is made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blade will take and hold an excellent edge. The blade is accurately ground and has a slimmer cross section that woodworkers prefer. As with all fine edge tool, it will need sharpening/honing before use. This chisels is an excellent value in a good quality tool. This blade is 40 mm (1 5/8 inches) wide and is 6 inshes long. The handle is made from super hard European Hornbeam and is 5 1/2 inches long. Overall length is 11 1/2 inches. Bevel is ground at a 25 degree bevel. The blade has a well-seated heavy steel tang and the handle has a brass ferrule to withstand vigorous mallet work.
