This 7 ft torsion spring cable is made for a standard lift door with a Torsion spring system. 7ft torsion spring cables are thinner and more flexible that the 1/8″ cables, the weight capacity is lower at 900 lbs, but is still more than substantial for a residential garage door. The main benefit is that the thinner diameter lessens the chance for the cables to rub as the garage door is opening for quieter operation. It works for all residential garage doors 7ft high that have torsion springs. Garage door cables are 1/8" thick made with Galvanized Aircraft Cable, and are 9.6long.
Every cable assembly comes with a crimped and a loose cable stop on one end. This is to help the cable sit evenly in the cable drum.
