Feature

●Hot rod Universal Adjustable Proportioning Valve with 3/8-24 IFF fitting size. Also included in this kit are (Two) 2 pound residual valves.
●These residuals prevent loss of brake pressure. They run in-line and act as a one way check valve and prevent fluid from bleeding back to the master cylinder
●Brand new 2 pounds residual pressure valve in blue. This valve can be used with any DISK brake application as long as the master cylinder is located under the floor.
●This valve acts as a one way check that prevents this type of bleeding.
●This valve is necessary to your brake system.

Description

Proportioning Valve

This valve is typically used to decrease the pressure to the rear brakes.

When converting to a dual master or disc brakes the rear drums require less pressure and this valve is put in the front to rear brake line to reduce the pressure to the rear brakes.

It can also be used in the front brake lines to reduce pressure.

Pressure adjustments range 100-1000 PSI and provide for a maximum decrease of 57% in line pressure.

“IN” (Stamped on valve) ? Rigid brake line from the distribution block to this port.

“OUT” (Stamped on valve) ? Rigid brake line to the rear flex hose.

This adjustment lets you fine tune the front to rear braking balance by proportionately decreasing the rear (or in some cases the front) brake line pressure.

This can also be used to adjust individual front wheel braking in circle track applications.

2 lbs residual pressure valve

This valve can be used with any DISK brake application as long as the master cylinder is located under the floor.

Brand new 2 pound residual pressure valve in blue.

When the master cylinder is under the floor, it is usually lower than the calipers.

Gravity and vibration can cause brake fluid to leak back to the master cylinder away from the calipers, causing a loss of brake pressure.

This valve acts as a one way check that prevents this type of bleeding. Without it, your brakes could drag or give out completely.

This valve is necessary to your brake system.
