Instead, the chalk sifts through the open mesh areas eliminating the need for breaks and bridges throughout the design as in the antiquated plastic stencils. A Pounce Pad is necessary to transfer them. There is very little maintenance involved in caring for the stencils, and they could last a lifetime even if neglected. We suggest you wipe the chalk off the stencil before using it with different color chalk; a microfiber towel works well. Full Line Stencils are also water-resistant; it’s possible to use other mediums such as paint or ink with them. They have no right or wrong side, and most have registration marks to align the patterns repeats. Should your stencil become wrinkled, simply press it flat with an iron (med. High temp, no steam).
