●Over history, not much has been written about training in the net. What we do have is in the form of a paragraph here, a drawing there, a section in a larger work. Unfortunately, this dearth of material continues today; so much so that musical instrument exercises are to be found in a very few method books. The importance of technical exercises - the greatest guide in performance as well as creating, developing and progressing in a style - is obvious
●Because some method books are extremely broad in scope, the technical exercises provided are insufficient; and sample works provided in methods frequently do not serve the technical goals of the performer. With this in mind, I have created this book of technical exercises according to specific goals.
●It is my hope that this short book will be helpful to neyzens, musicians committed to the ney and students with at least three years of experience in their quest to attain mastery in tone, breath control and general performance.
