When I try to connect “VEEPEAK” with my iPhone, it tells me it is not supported.

On iOS devices, you will see this error when trying to pair with Bluetooth LE devices from the Bluetooth menu. You do not need to connect here. Please restart your iOS device so “VEEPEAK” shows up again on Bluetooth. Then start the app to connect.

Could not pair with Android phone.

Turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on; restart your phone; clear Bluetooth cache/storage: Settings ? Apps (show system) ? Bluetooth ? Storage & Cache, clear and restart the phone.

Pairs with Android, but does not show as connected.

After pairing, it may go to saved, paired, or previously connected device list on different phones, but you can just start the app to connect. No need to make it show as connected in Bluetooth Settings.

App does not connect to the Veepeak device.

Make sure the App is compatible and the correct connection settings is made. Remove and re-install the app; then try with another app.

Cannot connect to the vehicle (or ECU).

First check the vehicle compatibility with the App. Verify if your vehicle is OBD II compliant, the ignition is turned on and the device fits well in the OBD II port. Then try it on another vehicle if possible.

Is there an App included with the item?

Currently no. You have to get a compatible third-party App from the App Store or Google Play Store. Also what features you can get mainly depends on your chosen App.

What vehicles are supported when using it with BimmerCode or BimmerLink App?

Currently only 2008+ models are supported for the two apps. Additionally, G series is not fully supported in BimmerCode. Please refer to the app official page for detailed compatibility.

Does it work on electric vehicles?

It can work on most EVs, but it requires a proper App, for example Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (with the appropriate EV connection profiles), ABRP (iOS version), EVNotify, LeafSpy, EV Watchdog, etc.

Does it read transmission temperature?

The transmission (fluid) temperature is a manufacturer specific PID so it’s not read by most generic OBD2 Apps. Please contact support for App recommendation or search for the custom PID information & add it in the App.

Common Issue: Have trouble connecting with your phone?

1. For iPhone/iPad, be sure NOT to connect VEEPEAK through Bluetooth Settings. As it uses Bluetooth LE, pairing is not needed and instead it will lead to an error. You just start the app to connect and the Bluetooth connection will be made through the app.

- What if I have tried to connect through the Bluetooth Settings and "VEEPEAK" disappears?

Please restart your iOS device and "VEEPEAK" will show up again.

2. For Android devices, if it does not pair, try the following: (1) Disconnect other Bluetooth devices, turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on. Try pairing a few more times; (2) Restart your Android device; (3) Clear Bluetooth data cache to completely reset Bluetooth (Settings > Apps > More options > Show system apps > Bluetooth > Storage> Clear data); (4) For Car Scanner ELM OBD2 or Infocar App, you can initiate the Bluetooth pairing in App settings; (5) For Android head units, check the Bluetooth settings and see if PIN is enabled or the default pairing PIN is correct (should be 1234).

3. Pairs with Android phone but does not show "connected". On some Android phones it may not show as connected after pairing. It may show as saved, paired or previously connected, but you do not need to tap on it to connect. You just start the app and continue to connect.
