No, it is a swim vest designed to help children to learn to swim. Adult supervision is required at all times.

Why are there 8 floats?

The floats are included to ensure that there is enough buoyancy. As the child grows more confident in the water, 2 at a time can be removed. They can also be easily put back if the child is not ready.
