When To Replace Your Filter Cartridge
After several pool seasons, a filter cartridge will get worn out and compacted with microscopic dirt particles. These dirt particles are very hard to remove with normal cleaning procedures. When your filter pressure is high even after cleaning your cartridge, its most likely time to buy a new one.
Typically for single cartridge pool filters, we suggest replacing your cartridge every 6-12 months and for filters that take multiple cartridges, we suggest replacing your cartridges every 3 years
