The KING KDS water stone has both a 6000 grit and a 1000 grit side so that it functions as 2 stones in one. The high quality stone is fired from abrasive mixed with a clay binder. There are no plastic compounds as in other manufacturers 6000 grit stones. These KING Waterstones will give a nice polish and a nice polish and a razor edge and are suitable for most sharpening jobs.
