In many internal combustion engines, the thermostat housing acts as the coolant outlet. It is usually located on the engine block or cylinder head. It contains the thermostat, which helps to control the engines operating temperature
What happens when thermostat housing breaks?
Coolant will also leak out of the system once the housing is cracked, warped, or damaged in any way. A failed or worn seal may also cause a similar issue. Your engine may overheat if your thermostat housing keeps on leaking, so its best to address this issue right away
