Description
Working Principle:
Turbulence created by gas or air forced through a small orifice generates ultrasonic sound. Ultrasonic sound occurs when the atmosphere leaks into a vacuum vessel or when a pressure vessel leaks to the outside atmosphere. Ultrasonic sounds frequency is related to the size of the orifice which ultrasonic sound passes through, but usually the frequency is about 40kHz. Ultrasonic sound is very directional, this directionality is used to pinpoint the origin of the ultrasonic sound, the leak point.

Operation Instruction:
Receiver:
1. Insert the headphones plug into the headphone jack of Receiver, then wear the headphone.
2. Press and hold the "TEST" button, the "POWER" indicator lights up. You can hear "ticking tone " through the headphone, and then adjust the Receivers sensitivity to a desired level with the sensitivity knob.
3. Still press and hold the TEST button, move the probe of Receiver around the seals in the suspected area. Once Receiver picks up the ultrasonic sound generated by leak, the "ticking tone" will increase in frequency and the " LEAK " LED will also light up. It means that Receiver finds the leak. The closer the probe moves to the leak, the higher the frequency of the ”ticking tone”becomes.
4. After you locate the leak, repair it properly and then retest with Receiver.
5. When you finish leak detection and location, release the TEST button.
Transmitter：
1. Turn on Transmitter. If the " POWER" LED doesn’t light up , please replace the battery.
2. Place Transmitter inside the compartment to be checked, then close the compartment. The ultrasonic sound emitted by Transmitter will pass through any orifice or faulty seal.
3. Using Receiver to scan the outside surface of the compartment, the ultrasonic sound escaping from the compartment will be detected, and crack or orifice of the compartment can be quickly located and pinpointed.
4. When the check is completed, turn off Transmitter.
