WHY decided to buy this analog lock instead of a digital smart one because:
A) you didnt want to mess around with batteries.
B) you didnt want the door auto-locking behind us,
you can use the back door all day, and didnt want to keep unlocking the door.
1) Its solid and sturdy, and theres no messing around with batteries.
2) Its attractive and nice looking.
3) you can easily lock the door on your way out by simply turning the outside knob. that secures the deadbolt. digital locks make you use the key or enter the code to lock the deadbolt, and we didnt want that. simply turning the knob is a heck of a lot faster and more convenient when youre leaving the house.
A) Most digital locks will lock the deadbolt after 60-90 seconds automatically. were in and out during the day, and we didnt want to keep unlocking the door each time we stepped outside. thats a plus for us.
B) It gives you a second deadbolt, so now we have the top deadbolt + this bottom keypad deadbolt. its very secure.
