The Alp Trainer Mid GTX is a mid-height mountain shoe for hiking with Gore-Tex Extended Comfort technology and is therefore "all around" waterproof and breathable in all temperature ranges. The membrane is waterproof inwards, while wicking sweat and heat to the outside. As the shoe is not lined, it is ideal for those looking for a comfortable and breathable solution. The upper shoe of the mountain shoe is made of suede and edged with a protective rubber layer. The durable and adaptable Vibram Hike Approach sole is suitable for many terrain types in the mountains. The Alp Trainer Mid GTX combines the patented Salewa technologies for an Alpine Fit 100% bubble-free guarantee: flexible multi-fit footbed Plus (MFF) with removable inserts to adapt to the individual foot shape, climbing shoe lacing system up to the toe area for a more precise fit and 3F system for a firm grip in the heel and ankle area.
