Yes, the bristles are strong yet comfortable enough to use on bare feet.

How is the scrubber secured in place and can it be mounted?

This scrubber is not mounted; its designed for travel. Stand on it with both feet, kicking one foot at a time through the bristles. Your weight keeps it in place. For stability, stand near a sturdy object like a wall and use your hand for support.

How sturdy is it? Can it be left outdoors

Our boot scrubber is very sturdy. It can comfortably fit up to size 13 boots or shoes and withstand at least 250 pounds / 113 kilograms without breaking. The composite plastic materials are waterproof and can safely be left outdoors all year round.

Does this scrub only the soles of boots or can it scrub up the sides too?

This scrubber is meant to clean the bottom and edges of your boot or shoe soles. For scrubbing up the sides of your boots we recommend our more industrial Extra Wide Boot Scrubber model (see product table below).
