The resistance to water penetration is an extremely important characteristic of rainproof fabrics and is expressed in terms of the resistance to water penetration through the fabric in terms of the hydrostatic pressure that the fabric is subjected to. This instrument is mainly used for the determination of the hydrostatic pressure resistance of fabrics and also for the determination of the hydrostatic pressure resistance of coating materials.


How to Use:

1. Remove any dirt from between the upper and lower pressure plates of the rubber ring before testing.

2. Loosen the airbag knob switch to the open position.

3. Fill the lower platen drain valve with an appropriate amount of clean water.

4. Place the test object between the upper and lower platens.

5. Then tighten the airbag knob switch to OFF and turn the handwheel to lower the upper platen until the upper and lower platens are completely sealed.

6. Repeatedly compress the airbag with the hand and observe the pressure gauge pointer at the specified value. Observe whether there is any abnormality on the surface of the test object while pressurizing. If not, continue to compress the hand-held air wrap until the pointer does not move, and then close the manual switch to observe the change in the pointer at this time. If the pointer does not fall back to change, the water pressure value is this value. If there is a fallback, after waiting for the pointer to stabilize to obtain the maximum water pressure value of the object to be tested When in the compression of the handheld air package found that the surface of the test object has the phenomenon of water seepage as well as the pressure gauge pointer does not go up, indicating that the test object water pressure is lower than the current pointer indication value.
