Unlike aluminum, we use steel for the holder because aluminum tends to wear out due to continuous removal and insertion of small wheels, especially as the hard outer shells of the bearings come into contact with it. Additionally, our bearing pockets are case hardened for added durability. This holder attaches to a tooling arm using a 1/2-13 bolt and a 3/8-16 bolt, and it features a long-lasting powder coating finish. The small wheels in the set are crafted from 1018 steel, and they exhibit impressive durability while allowing for precise grinding of finger grooves. The set includes 5 popular diameters: 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", and 1". Its important to note that small wheels should not be spun at high speeds, as their bearings are not equipped to handle high RPMs. We recommend using a 1800rpm motor with a 4" drive wheel to maintain a tolerable speed for moderate operation. Be sure to regularly check the bearings for heat even at this speed.
