What to do if pressure is too high?
Once your pressure hits 10 PSI higher than your normal operating level, it’s time to clean your filter. If you never knew your normal operating pressure, don’t forget to write down your gauge number after your filter media is new.
What to do if pressure is too low?
If your pool filter pressure gauge reads at least 5 PSI lower than your normal operating pressure, it’s time to get troubleshooting. Most likely, the decrease in pressure is due to some kind of blockage in one of those areas, skimmer basket, pump basket, the pump itself, and the main drains.
