Brushes used extensively for shading, working up drapery, intensifying shadows, and producing textural effects. Dipped into wet paint, held perpendicular to the glass, and the paint is rapidly stippled onto the desired area. 1 ¼” in diameter at the ferrule, spreads out to 2” in diameter at the end of the 4” long bristles. Firm and flexible, used mostly for larger works.
