●Carbon deposition is caused by incomplete combustion. If the remaining fuel in a pistonis continually combusted, carbon depositionis formed. Formation of carbon depositionis more obvious for helicopter-used fuel which has high content of lubricant.
●Carbon deposition has to be removed. This thin carbon layer does not only affect heat dissipation of a piston, but also block small holes of metal, thus reduce the adhesion of lubricant. Degraded heat dissipation would decrease the engine power, so carbon deposition removal isnecessary.
