You no longer need to align a rule or mess with set up blocks when youre trying to accurately set router bit or table saw blade height. The 1-1/2" x 4" base features a magnetic strip to help hold the gauge in position while the large digital readout lets you set your cutter height to exactly the depth you need. Fast, accurate and repeatable cutter height setting allows you to make precise cuts and repeat your set ups. The shape of the anvil lets you use the gauge to set router fence position up to 4-1/2". Displays both fractions and the decimal equivalent at the same time so you know your fraction is exactly on, not rounded up or down like other fraction read outs. This gauge is a highly accurate measuring device developed specifically for woodworking. It can be used to set saw blade and router bit height as well as set the distance from a router fence to the bit. They are constructed of high quality anodized aluminum along with hardened and ground stainless steel components They include the same advanced Wixey Technology features found in all our other Digital Readout products. The magnetic base allows easy positioning for measurements on cast iron table tops and the stainless steel hardened and ground anvil insures long term measuring accuracy. The large easy to read display reads in inches with fractions or millimeters. The fractions are displayed using "Precise Fraction Technology" which gives you 4 times the accuracy of other fraction readouts. The decimal inches are displayed in .001-inch increments, the fractions in 1/64-inch, and the millimeters in .05mm increments. Accuracy is .001 decimal inches, 1/500 fraction inches, and .025mm metric.
