●7mm Clasico Integrated Pad replaces the older version Ceramico pad. The pad is the same size, thickness, density, and buoyancy. It is still an integrated pad, meaning that all the panels are sewn around the pad, it has no stitching down the middle. We removed two layers of lamination which caused a perception of stiffness, especially when the short was new. The new Clasico Pad looks less obvious, and it allows the pad to stretch more than the previous Ceramico pad.
●Seamless inner thigh eliminates friction. 1 inch longer inseam than previous version (RTS1). 9.5" inseam on size medium. Mid to low-rise waist band with an adjustable drawstring. Two "swimmable" Pockets - one on side of each leg. These pockets are hydrodynamic when swimming without a wetsuit and provide storage solutions for the bike and run.

Forza Compressor
This amazing fabric lifts and supports muscles to dampen the vibration due to dynamic flexion and extension, as well as isometric flex during exercise. De Soto was the first company to produce compression garments in 1997. Since then we have offered Forza Products that have helped thousands of triathletes win as well as improve on their personal best. Research findings from extensive university studies show the Forza Compressor fabric used in our garments help to improve athletic performance by delaying the onset of fatigue by as much as 12%, and by giving an improved sense of body position. We assemble the garments of this fabric with proprietary articulated stitching techniques that maximize comfort and fit while minimizing constriction and drag. Consider each Forza garment as an “exterior ligament” for your body!
Mobius Comfort Compression
A Mobius Strip is a surface with only one side and one boundary. Mobius (aka Mobius Comfort Compression) is our new form-fitting, yet non-binding compressive fabric. When blending fibers the knit created makes repeated mobius loops so that the same surface is on both sides of the fabric. You will notice comfort and support without constriction, opacity without unnecessary weight, and durability from a very smooth surface on both sides. We use this fabric on the Mobius Tri Short and the Mobius Cycling Bibshort. We also use Mobius on the leg bands of all our shorts so there is no tight squeeze or binding on the legs.
LiftFoil3
Liftfoil3 is FINA approved hydrophobic and compressive fabric. It is hydrophobic because of a very tight Microweave, so tight it limits absorption of water and/or sweat. You should be weary of brands that use any types of teflon or waterproof coatings as these are just chemicals that are applied to finished fabrics. They do wear out after a number of uses. Liftfoil3 is knitted with coldBlack Technology ? At speeds below 5 mph (8 kph) the best surface to flow though water is a smooth surface like Liftfoil. Liftfoil3 is designed to be worn very tight. When stretched on a moving body, Liftfoil3 becomes thinner, so it absorbs less water. Because it compresses against the skin, it reduces passive drag, and acts as a foil to lift the body at the water surface.

Microlock
and Microflat Stitching are innovative and proprietary combinations of thread and two-pass-stitching techniques. These techniques, invented by De Soto, provide the most durable seams in existence, yet yield an eloquent appearance.
Clasico 7mm Pad
The Pad is the short, the short is the pad You have never seen anything like this because it has never existed until we first did it in 2012. We have created an integrated pad where instead of just sewing a pad into the short, we actually create the short by sewing the fabric to the pad all the way around the perimeter. The pad stretchs in all directions. There are no seams between your body and the saddle. The pads for triathlon and road bikes are shaped differently to accommodate forward-rotated pelvic position when on a steeper seat angle bike versus a more conventional road bike position. The proprietary foam fiber floats when it gets wet. The fiber absorbs very little moisture this allowing for a quick-drying garment.

Sizing Guidance
"Natural Synthetics" The fabrics developed by De Soto are not treated with any “enhancing” chemicals. These chemicals can irritate the skin and will wash off the fabric over time. This means that De Soto fabrics will not be harmful to your body, and they will perform as described for the entire life of the garment. The technology will NOT wash out.
Refer to the MENS size chart image above for accurate fit. Fit Note ? Triathlon apparel is meant to fit compressive. This is to eliminate potential chafing. This specific short has compressive muscular support which may feel tight. If you’re not comfortable with this type of fit and or are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Garment will relax slightly once wet and will never shrink.
CHEST - Fullest part of breast, measured as the largest part of circumference right over the pectoral muscle.
WAIST - Circumference measured at the belly-button line - this is NOT the same as your pants waist size.
HIPS - Circumference measured at the widest point, NOT at your hips where your belt may go. Typically this will measure just a few inches below your hip bones and around the largest part of the glutes.
If you do not have a tape measure and you need something to measure with, use a belt, or smart phone power cord, and a ruler.
