Its Hawaiian for "dry" and pronounced "mah-loh-oh". Since our first product was the DryRack and we have Hawaiian blood in our veins, we thought the Maloo would be a perfect name. We are located in Solana Beach, CA and we love the ocean, mountains, and the great outdoors. The Malo’o WetHoodie fishing apparel is part Wetsuit, part Hoodie that’s perfect to keep you warm and dry while fishing, hunting, or trapping. The fishing hoodie body is made to keep you warm, with sleeves made from 2mm neoprene, just like a wetsuit, for water protection.

The sleeves are tapered at the wrist to prevent water from traveling back up your forearms and loose above the elbow for comfort. With a pouch on the front for easy access to tools and magnetic snaps for easy use with gloves, this fishing hoodie is the perfect addition to your cold-weather fishing gear.

Brand Story

How we got our start?

It all started after an early morning surf session when Phil headed off to the office. He forgot about the soaked wetsuit in the back of the SUV and when he returned at the end of the day, the smell was horrific, and the idea for the DryRack was born.

What makes our product unique?

We are a customer-driven company. After our inaugural product, The DryRack was successfully funded on Kickstarter, each of our additional products has been a result of customer input and collaboration. All of our products are designed to be used every day by outdoor adventurers.
