How To Use:
1: Measuring azimuth:
1. Use the guideline (wire) on the compass to align the markers on the ground (which can be determined by yourself) such as: trees, characteristic buildings marked on the map, and align the markers, metal guidelines, and grooves on the lens Three oclock in a line.
2. The angle between the long yellow line of the dial read through the lens and the direction of the north and south magnetic poles (inner circle scale) is the target azimuth.
Two: Determine your position on the map:
1. Assuming that the landmark is a lighthouse, using the above method to measure the position where you are and the orientation of the lighthouse is 40 degrees north by east.
2. Put the compass on the map and move it so that the metal line and the lighthouse (on the map) are 40 degrees north by east.
3, then your location is on the line between the center of the compass and the lighthouse (on the map)
