The K2 Standard is a high-quality entry-level model that makes the competition look old. It is the perfect snowboard for beginners that inoculates self-confidence and makes you hungry for more. The standard has a directionally aligned twin shape and is completed by our Catch-Free™ Tune. So you can easily learn both switch and regular snowboarding, because the board can be driven equally well in both directions. The standard comes with our in-house rocker profile - flat between the bindings and rocker outside the bindings - this ensures very easy curve introduction and a quick and safe edge change. Quick and safe edge change prevents falls, which in turn ensures less interruptions, leads to more time on the mountain and the board, thus ensuring much faster progress. At the core, the K2 standard is made from sustainably planted aspen wood, which ensures a forgiving flex. Nevertheless, the board is playful and has enough pop for Ollies or the first jumps. Biaxial fibreglass surrounds the aspen core which provides the desired stability when you get used to the higher speeds. In addition, you can also open up more difficult terrain. The K2 standard is rounded off by an extruded 2000 base, forgiving, stable and always ready for another run.
