Step 1: Find the center of the bit Finding the center of the bit (Fig 1), the centerline corresponds to a carbide corner. Make sure your router is unpowered. Rotating bit blade toward the cutting object. (it should be perpendicular to cutting object).

Step 2: Center the bit on the stock Mark a centerline on your test board. Setup by aligning the bit center point to the center line of the board. Please adjust the height of the bit and the fence until the center line is meet the bit center point in both horizontal and vertical positions. (Don’t expect perfection, you will use sample cuts to fine-tune the height).

Step 3: Make a test cut Prepare a pair of test pieces in the same thickness as your workpieces. Run a test cut and check the fitting of the joint. You will need a fine tune until they fit together seamlessly and both faces are flush you are set.
