Description

Machine screws are generally used to fasten metal parts together in various types of machinery, automotive, and construction applications. They have a uniform diameter the entire length of the shaft with a flat end and are typically fully threaded. Machine screws are typically used with a pre-tapped hole or with a nut. The truss head has a curved surface, extra-wide profile, and a lower profile than most pan head screws. The extra-wide top helps prevent the screw from going through the drilled surface. The 6-lobe drive, commonly referred to as Torx, has six points of contact allowing the operator to tighten the screw without stripping the recess. Zinc plated steel offers good corrosion resistance in applications not exposed to excessive moisture.
