The 3036453 overspeed warning board is used in the instrument control box of Cummins diesel generator set in the United States. When the speed exceeds the rated speed, it will alarm and stop, so as to protect the diesel engine and prevent runaway
1. Overview:
The purpose of overspeed protection is to protect the generator rotor wire from flying damage. Generator speed setting
+20% nH, diesel generator set is +15% nH, that is, 1725rpm (50HZ car) or
2070rpm (60HZ vehicle), but diesel engine above 2200rpm is still allowed
2. Function:
The name of the overspeed board is "speed switch board", which provides three speed signals for the generator set, namely:
①Clutch disengaged: starting to 300 rpm, the upper light is on, the diesel engine detonates, and it rises to idle speed (600-650 rpm), pre-lubricating and preheating the diesel engine, preparing for high speed and loading
② Parallel vehicles are allowed: Idle for 1 to 3 minutes, switch to high speed, and the speed will rise to above 1450 rpm, providing basic conditions for parallel vehicles, the middle light is on, and the trim potentiometer can be adjusted to synchronize with the external electricity and parallel.
③Excessive speed: When the unit fails or loses control, a runaway occurs, and it exceeds 1725 rpm (50HZ unit) or 2070 rpm (60HZ unit), the lower light will be on and the machine will stop. But the red light keeps on. You must turn off the power and turn off the lights before you can drive again.
Automated generator sets use three functions, general-purpose generator sets only use the last "overspeed protection" function, so it is often called "overspeed board"
