If the remote control does not automatically match up with the floor lamp, you can match it manually. First, unplug the floor lamp and then plug it back in. Afterward, press the top 2 buttons (the switch, and the night light button) on the remote at the same time within 30 seconds. When the floor lamp flashes alternately once, the match is done.
