Description

The FilterPulse™ utilizes its patented optical technology to monitor the dirty load level of air filters in HVAC systems. The FilterPulse™ sends a light signal through an HVAC air filter and senses its intensity. When a new clean filter is inserted, the reset button is pressed. An initial light measurement is made calibrating the sensor with the starting base-point of the new filter. Later measurements are compared with the initial measurement. The adjustable set point indicates when the measured light sensed drops below the dirty load trip point. The FilterPulse™ alarm alerts the user to replace the air filter once this load threshold has been exceeded. With its infrared sensing technology, the FilterPulse™ can work effectively across all brands and MERV filter ratings. Likewise, the FilterPulse™ operates independently from air speed fluctuations and pressure changes in HVAC systems, which is not possible with pressure sensing instruments. These features of the FilterPulse™ enables it to be the only device that produces an accurate detection of replacement filter status on a variety of filter types or brands in complex to simple HVAC systems.
