Why we use 300D Oxford cloth on the top?
Since the top is exposed to the most sunlight, and the uneven top surface is easy to form puddles after rain, we use 300D Oxford cloth, which is more thick and more waterproof and can block 96.67% of UV rays by itself, as the top of the RV cover to ensure its service life.
Why we use 150D Oxford cloth on sides?
150D Oxford cloth is lighter than 300D Oxford cloth, which can effectively reduce the stress on the top seam and reduce the possibility of seam cracking. Meanwhile, we added an anti-UV silver coating to it so that it also blocks 98% of UV rays. Finally, considering that there will be no puddles on the sides, we used 150D as the material for the sides of the cover.
For Oxford, is it true that the larger the number in front of D, the better?
Its one-sided. D (Denier) just refers to the thickness of the yarn. The quality of Oxford cloth is also related to the density of the yarn, the thickness of the PU coating, the color fastness, etc. We select high quality fabrics to better protect your travel trailer.
