How do mechanics normally remove lug nuts?
Usually, they will first loosen the lug nuts with a breaker bar, which gives them better control, then switch to the impact wrench. Such an operation will avoid damage to the wheel or lug nuts.
How to deal with the stubborn lug nut?
1. Apply penetrating oil on the nuts and allow it to sit for some time before loosen it.
2. Tap the end of the breaker bar with a hammer to create a shock which may help break the nut free.
