All triangular needles have 3 barbs around the tip of the needle by each side, they are packed in a plastic tube. Our felting needles have been made with a little extra flexibility to reduce needle breakage when using.

Felting needles are barbed needles, the thinner the needle and the smaller the barbs, the barbs on the triangular needle are randomly spaced over the lower shaft of the needle, the more barbs and the thicker the needle the more wool the needle pulls in when stabbing with it.

Warm Tip:

Care needs to be taken when using these needles as they are sharp, children under 12 should be supervised when using them. Felting needles are brittle and are therefore easily broken. To reduce breakages, use the needle in a straight in, straight out motion. The needle is best not bent, wiggled or put under a lot of pressure. As a general rule if the needle will not enter a surface with ease do not force it.
