Description

The MAKO Silicone Freedive Weight Belts are highly recommended for demanding freedive instructors, competitors, and experienced spearfishermen. They offer greater stretch compared to rubber belts, which enhances breath holds and dive times by facilitating optimal diaphragmatic breathing.

When diving to significant depths, the MAKO silicone weight belt contracts effectively during compression, ensuring a secure fit and keeping the weights firmly attached to the body. In case of an emergency, the weight belt features a 100% stainless steel quick-release buckle for quick and effortless removal.

These weight belts are designed to fit all sizes, as they come with pre-drilled holes that allow customization to achieve the desired length. They can accommodate standard lead weights, and the MAKO vinyl coated weights are specifically designed for rubber or silicone freedive weight belts and are popular among users.

It is important to note that the lead weights should be installed before trimming the belt. However, it is advisable to leave at least 15 inches of excess overhang for safety reasons, enabling easy removal of the weight belt by a dive buddy in case of an emergency.

Please note that the silicone belt has a length of 53 inches and can be cut according to individual requirements.
