For every case of EcoChit sold, two Mangrove Trees are planted in Madagascar. BPA (Bisphenol-A) is a toxic chemical which is found in many plastics as well as thermal receipts. Studies have shown BPA exposure can lead to cancer, infertility, heart disease and diabetes. Unknown to the public, manufacturers have switched to using BPS (Bisphenol-S), an equally harmful chemical. EcoChit white receipt rolls contain no BPA or BPS and instead uses a new phenol-free chemical called Pergafast, which has not shown any negative effects on humans.
