What type of anchor should you choose? Most kayakers use a 1.5 pound to 3.3 pound folding anchor that is easy to store. For calm lakes or rivers with little or no wind or current, a smaller anchor is generally fine, but for areas with flooding, wind, and current, a heavier anchor is better. The size of the anchor you need depends on the wind and water conditions, as well as the weight of your equipment. A folding Grapnel anchor provides the utmost security to grab the bottom to keep your kayak steady.
If your boat is under 3.3 m, we recommend using a 2.5 kg anchor set.If your boat is under 3M, we recommend using a 1.5kg anchor kit or a 0.7kg anchor kit (you can find them in our shop).
