Description
Product Description: This compression union is made of high-quality brass and connects two 1/2” tubing in a straight run. The sleeve type pipe joint is composed of three parts: joint body, sleeve, nut. When the sleeve and the nut are inserted into the joint body on the tubing, and the nut is tightened, the outer side of the front end of the ferrule is fit with the conical surface of the joint body, and the inner edge bites into the seamless tubing evenly creating a leak-free connection. Manufactured for low and medium pressure tubing connection work where excessive vibration or tube movement is not involved. Used for a variety of applications, not limited to grease, fuels, refrigeration, water, oil, gas, brake lines and hydraulic systems. Meets specifications and standards of ASA, ASME and SAE J512.Assembly Instructions:- Cut smooth, square end on tubing.- Slide nut and then sleeve on tube. Threaded end of nut must face towards the fitting.- Insert tube into fitting body. Be sure tubing is bottomed on fitting shoulder.- Tighten nut into fitting until snug.
