ATTENTIONS:

  • Please check your old valve before disassembly. Make sure to know the position (top or bottom) of the white "H|C" indicator and put it in the same place.
  • Please strictly follow the installation instructions to install, especially before installing the black patch, be sure to apply grease to prevent the patch from cracking.

ABOUT INSTALLATION:

  • Step 1: Shut off the main water supply, and open the shower handle to relieve any water pressure and drain the lines;
  • Step 2: Remove the trim and 1222 cartridge, loosen the handle adapter screw and remove the adapter;
  • Step 3: Use the attached Puller to remove the cartridge from the valve;
  • Step 4: Apply the lubricant to the cartridge oval on the both sides, and make sure the HC symbol and the notch in the cartridge stem are facing up, and then insert the new 1222 into the valve;
  • Step 5: Reinsert the retaining clip and make sure the cartridge is in place, and reinstall the shower handle to finshing the process.
