Easy to install:
Simply unscrew the existing the cap
Pull out the old pentair thermal regulator
Push the new 77707-0010 thermal regulator in
Put the cap back on thermal regulator spring

The thermal regulator is located between the inlet and outlet water connections on the water manifold
Generally speaking,the thermal regulator start open when the water heated to about 160F.It may need to replaces the thermal regulator if it opens too high or too low. Perfect thermal regulator replacement for Pentair MasterTemp 400 & Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 400 etc was short cycling (cycling on within one or two minute, then off for about 1 minute,then do the same and repeat)
