Installation of the fuel shut-off valve

  • Fuel Petcock Valve replacement on Gas Generator
  • Prepare to drain fuel by raising the aft end
  • Position catch bowl for draining fuel
  • Squeeze compression clip and slide off fuel line
  • Remove fuel line and insert into drain tube
  • Turn petcock to drain fuel
  • Clean fuel of any debris or water accumulation
  • Pour into fuel-safe container

  • Loosen petcock mounting nut
  • Remove petcock and filter
  • Debris should be cleaned during annual service
  • Insert filter and position petcock, take care to avoid crossing threads
  • Tighten nut gently
  • Re-attach fuel supply line
