An HDMI SWITCH can allow you to plug 3 devices into your TV, monitor, or projector even if you only have 1 available HDMI port. To install an HDMI SWITCH, you need one HDMI cable to connect the switch to your TV, and enough HDMI cables to connect the switch to each of your devices.
Does an HDMI SWITCH Need Power?
While passive switches do work without any external power source, they don’t always work as well as powered switches. Signal strength can become an issue, so the best results are usually obtained using the shortes HDMI cables possible when connecting a television with a passive switch. Active switches are less prone to issues like that, and you can use longer cables without connection problems.
Why is My HDMI SWITCH not working?
If your HDMI SWITCH isn’t working, it could be an issue with your source devices, your destination devices and your HDMI cables.
1 Make sure the TV and source device are both truned on.
2 Make sure the switch is plugged into power and turned on.
3 Make sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input.
4 Unplug each HDMI cable and carefully plug them back in, make sure they are fully inserted.
Note:
1 This HDMI SWITCH is for 3 signal hosts to be displayed on 1 Minitor ONLY.
2 This HDMI SWITCH does not support HDCP 2.0/HDMI 2.0. If connect with PS4 and Xbox, please set the TV display in HDCP 1.4/HDMI 1.4.
