How to Use:
1. The dam is on the right. Now assemble, place the wood part in the repair, then a rubber band to hold the material in the slot. The metal part is now installed in the slot and your second rubber band will hold the two parts together. Start damming by sewing the thread to the material and tying it down around a hook or thread to the sock. Repeat this on each hook until the hole is covered. Note: It is not necessary to use all hooks, use enough hooks to cover the repair.
2. Pass the eye of the needle through the channel between the wires and press the needle downward before withdrawing the needle. This will close the knit and now tie the thread to the sock. Slide your finger along the chain like hook to change the number of rows and continue to repeat until the dam is completed.
