Description

Feature: Bicycle Frame Rear Derailleur Hangers belong vulnerable parts, general riders go wild ride will bring a combination of tools, spare tire of a class in case of emergency, but the vast majority would not have thought to bring this little part. Used on bikes where the derailleur is held in place by the wheel nuts. If you hit the right side of wrestling in riding, there is the opportunity to damage the ears, this case is very common, especially in long-distance riders, this accessory is best to become an essential piece. Snapped/ Bent hangers:  Hangers can bend or snap with improper use of the gears (and improper installation), or more commonly, when there is damage to the rear derailleur or hanger due to either a fall or improper storage of the bike. If your hanger and/or rear derailleur are not aligned or damaged, shifting through the gears in this condition can result in the derailleur shifting into the wheel, which can damaged the derailleur beyond repair, snap the hanger, damage the chain and also damage the spokes/ wheel. It is important to check your hanger/ derailleur alignment before each ride.            Gear Hangers should be fitted by a Qualified Cycle Mechanic and only after the original fault that caused the original gear hanger to fail has been rectified! The Gear Hanger is a sacrificial part which is designed to break when the frame and/ or drive train are under excessive stress, reducing/ eliminating any damage that may be caused to the frame and drive train components.            All hangers are straight when they come from the factory - if the hanger does not appear to be straight after fitting, please be sure to check that your frame drop-out is clean and free from damage (or thick paint)!
