Meet Alex- Our Chief Happy Officer!
Uniqpals is a sibling for purpose venture inspired by Alex, who has Down Syndrome, and his passion for animals, specifically his loving dogs Jerry and Nova. Alex is one of the biggest inspirations for the brand. Unfortunately, he was never able to be as active as his peers when growing up, which led to him gaining weight when the pandemic hit. Alex’s story exists in every home with a disability, as obesity and weight gain are one of the biggest problems the special needs community faces.
The founder of UniqPals, Lucero, was inspired by her own family to create dog products that encouraged and empowered the differently-abled community to become more active, break their inner barriers, and enjoy the world accompanied by their fluffy friends!
