Questions and Answers
1. How to make this pump work? How come this pump does not work?
- This pump is specifically designed to inflate common sports balls like volleyball, rugby ball, football, and basketball. This pump is not designed to work with exercise balls, inflatable toys, dog collars or other inflatables which come with a valve requiring pinch with hand and blow air by mouth.
- This pump comes with one standard size needle, which is suitable for most common sports balls. When shipped, the needle is inserted in the rim and requires attachment to the pump for inflating the compatible sports balls.
- When possible, inflate the ball or use MoveRays Ball Air Pump at room temperature. Placing these in a heated area overnight will be ideal. Cold weather can stiffen the ball valve and reduce effectiveness of the pump seal.
2. How to prevent breaking the needle or puncturing the ball bladder?
- Please see “Important Guidelines for Pump Usage and Inflation” section above.
3. How to prevent air leakage when inflating?
- Ensure the needle is of the right size and/or the pump is being used with the compatible sports balls.
- Move needle up and down to ensure clear air passage.
- Pump air continuously when the needle is inserted inside the pump valve. Remove the needle from the pump valve as soon as pumping is stopped.
4. How is the speed of this pump?
- This pump can inflate a brand new volleyball or never inflated before volleyball in less than 60 seconds, depending on hand/arm stamina. This small and lightweight pump is designed for portability and personal use. It is not electric or a heavy duty pump for commercial purposes.
5. Is the needle permanently attached to the pump?
- Pump comes with a needle inserted in the rim for safety. The needle can remain attached to the pump after first use or can be removed and reinserted in the rim for protection.
